TRONDHEIM

Founded with the name of Nidaros in 997, the city was the capital of Norway until 1380. Situated on the Sør-Trøndelag fjord it has an active port for transports and fishing, and is an important centre of commerce thanks to the agricultural area.

The banks of the river Nidelva that runs trough it, are full of wharehouses lying on pile-work dating back to 1700.
