NORTH CAPE

Called in Norwegian Nordkapp, this cape of northern Norway is situated at 71° 10' 21" from the Equator and at only 2,080 km from the North Pole.

Known as the northernmost point of Europe, it does not lie on the continent but on the island of Magerøya. The northernmost place lying on the continent itself is situated in the vicinity of Nordkyn cape.
